There were three great pickups off the free-agent list this week; however, all three of these studs sat on the bench. Luckily, these decisions did not impact the final results as all three teams won their games.
D.C. Whitefish - Sterling Shepard - 18 pts 9 rec for 94 yds
Hawk's Bench - Devin Singletary - 16 pts 82 yds, 1 TD
Ebola! - James White - 18 pts 20 ru yds; 6 rec for 46 yds; 1 TD
Given all three of these studs sat the pine this week, it's difficult to recognize any of them as a blue-chip signing, but all three of these players should provide some benefits as the season goes on. James White had the best all-around game as the backfield receiving option and found paydirt with 1 TD. The pickup is also more impactful for Ebola! versus Shepard for the Whitefish, as Ebola lacks depth in the RB department. It's not necessarily a paradigm shift in the roster, but with only two RB on the entire roster, having this pass-catching option stands as a valuable pickup and he's thriving with the opportunity. While there was the consensus thought that White wouldn't provide much fantasy value this season, he's proving to be a very valuable option in Full PPR formats and can be viewed as a mid-range RB3/FLEX play in Full PPR.
