Player of the Week: World's Finest

Monday Night wrapped up week 1 in a whacky fashion but the dual-threat combo of Lamar Jackson and Ty’Son Williams gave Yankee Zulu 36 points which were enough to overcome the deficit they had against Hawk’s Bench. Yet, the bigger winner Monday Night was the D.C. Whitefish who put up 38 points from Darren Waller and Justin Tucker that propelled the Whitefish to a 127-100 victory over the Holy Penguins. The combined 227 points were impressive, but on the other side of the Premier Division, World’s Finest and Deer Antler Addicts combined for 266 points in a 137-129 victory for WFFC. If this is what the Premier Division is going to do every week, you could see all four teams make the playoffs or have a very disappointed contender at the end of the season. Sanctus Koala cashed in this week to get a jump on the race for GM of the Year taking three of the six weekly awards and notches the best single-game total for the season. Each of those comes with a varying degree of points that feeds into the GM of the Year leaderboard.

Power rankings will not be released until after Week 3, but in the meantime, we'll see how FantasyPros.com has the projected standings after this week's results.
