A couple of hiccups this week that need to be addressed upfront. First, a scheduling mistake from the beginning of the season was caught as the Southern Delaware Wood Ducks and Takada Monster Army were scheduled to play each other's opponents this week. Apparently, too many Semps in this league. The switch was made after the 1300 EDT games on Sunday to fix the mistake so The Ducks would play Yankee Zulu and Takada would play the Holy Penguins. I was hoping this wouldn't make a difference because at the time both YZ and the Pens were projected to win, but the Ducks up-ended outscoring Yankee Zulu. My apologies for the confusion and the unexpected loss to YZ, but this was the intended matchups when the season started.
Second, due to some unforeseen work commitments and life-in-general, the Koalas are being placed in league care-taker status where I will help keep team operations going and competitive. This obviously was brought to my attention too late this past Sunday which just happened to be against my team. An unfortunate coincidence, but I adjusted her lineup with the best available on the bench and added a kicker. You'll see these moves noted in the league transaction section of the ESPN site. I know all-too-well that life can get in the way as shown by my short break from updating the news on this very page. This is a fun league that we play for charity and some bragging rights, so relying on good sportsmanship and our multiple years of playing each other suggests to me that we should help each other out when we can.
