Week 7 Preview: BYE-POCALYPSE

So many players missing. It's like the week 7 rapture. Who planned accordingly? Who is left with no options other than gutting their team for the week or taking the L in hopes of making up the loss later in the season?

#2 World’s Finest (4-2) versus #3 Yankee Zulu (5-1) The Whitefish may be the undisputed #1 team in the league but the contest for the next highest contender isn’t so clear. In this marquee matchup, the highest-scoring team in the league takes on the team with the lowest points against but with the week-7 bye-pocalypse and injuries, these two teams lack their #1 RBs.

#8 Kill’m All with Ebola! (3-3) versus #1 D.C. Whitefish (5-1) *Upset Alert Rumors of Ebola’s paper tiger status can be put to rest with a win against the best team in the league. Although Ebola beat up on the CW Division to start the year, their campaign against the other divisions has been a disaster. If Ebola can pull an upset, it will be this week as the Whitefish lack QB Josh Allen and WR CeeDee Lamb.

#4 Nash Kato (4-2) versus #7 Vinegar Strokes (2-4) Despite the records, these two teams are fairly well matched which shows the level of parity in the middle of the power rankings. However, the bye-pocalypse has destroyed the Strokes’ lineup this week. Six players on bye and three players out with injury have left GM Stephen S. without any options unless he decides to gut his team.

#11 Takada Monster Army versus #5 Sanctus Koala *Upset Alert Takada looks to benefit from Koala’s lack of Dak, Cooper, and JuJu and a soft matchup for his seemingly Space-X-sponsored Falcon-heavy team.

#6 Holy Penguins versus #10 S.D. Wood Ducks A 2-4 start is uncharacteristic for one of the league's perennial playoff teams, but nonetheless, they are facing off a Ducks team who is missing QB Justin Herbert and has banged-up players in Tyreek Hill and D’Andre Swift. All signs point to the Pens, but the Ducks have been sneaky good averaging close to 110-points per game.

#12 Hawks Bench versus #9 Deer Antler Addicts A pivotal game for both teams as they look to keep pace within their division. Like the Strokes, the Addicts have been hit hard by the bye-pocalypse giving the Hawks a solid chance of regaining some ground in the 2021 campaign.
